My Favourite Natural Moisturiser

I am one of those people that loves learning about new natural remedies and treatments so when I heard about Olive Oil being used as a moisturiser I decided to check it out straight away. Some of my friends had shared with me that they have used it in their hair to make it softer, but that it can also be used anywhere on the body.

As I have extremely sensitive skin after shaving I have always struggled with finding a moisturiser that did not irritate my skin or make it itchy afterwards. I tried simple options like baby oil but these still really affected my skin! So I decided to get out the extra virgin olive oil from my kitchen and a give it a go. I can tell you that it did not burn me one bit and I did not get the itching I normally experienced after a few days from shaving. I know there are some products made with olive oil extracts but I found it to be a lot easier to just use the normal olive oil at home.

It can also be used in the bath I have heard, so I plan on trying this out as well! Loads of people do find using olive oil strange though, what do you think?

  1. It's so crazy that this is the first blog post of yours that I read. Last night I tried olive oil on my hair and skin for the first time. I too have sensitive (and dry) skin after shaving and this felt so good. So smooth. And my hair was a lot softer too. Great post!

  4. I've heard of taking a spoonful of EVOO before bed balances your skin out, giving it a moisturized, glowy look. I've tried it, seems to work... it's just that it tastes funny :P
